Do you find solace in acoustic music? For a lot of us, some soft and soothing acoustic music never fails to make for a perfect evening. MAFIA brings to you their second event, Unplugged – Acoustic band event.
Event 2: UNPLUGGED (Acoustic band event)
Date: 21 February ’17
Venue: AB-1 Quadrangle
Participants will be allotted 6 minutes (inclusive of 2 minutes setup time) in Pre-Revels, and 7 minutes (inclusive of 2 minutes setup time) in Revels.
RULES:
– Participants per team: Minimum 3 and maximum 6 (at most 2 vocalists)
– All genres are allowed.
– At least two different instruments are compulsory.
– Only non-electric instruments are allowed.
However, the following stand as exceptions:
i. Keyboard or Synthesizer is allowed, only in piano mode.
ii. Electric Bass guitar is allowed with no signal processing.
– Exceeding the time limit will lead to deduction of scores (Utsav rules).
– In case of any technical fault, timers shall be reset and the participant will be allowed to perform from the beginning.
– The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and binding.
EVENT TIME:
· Pre-revels : 3 hours
· Revels : 2-3 hours
LOGISTICS:
· Eight microphones with stands
· Output speakers (Left + Right)
· Five floor monitors
· One bass amp
· One keyboard amp
· Mixer with line outs
· One cordless microphone for the emcee
· One set of Drum Mics (in addition to
the eight microphones)
· 5 Piece Drum Kit with Cymbals (Ride + Crash + Hi-Hats), Stands Drum Throne
and Drum Pedal, Drum mat/carpet.

· Individual Brilliance
· Synchronization
· Musicality
· Originality
